Betty Ladas is a combination of Blues and Country and Broadway, wrapped up in a Louisiana woman who’s not afraid to tell it like it is. She is a singer/song writer at heart presently living in Nashville, Tennessee. Her style as a song writer moves from provocative to sentimental to down right irreverent. She has sung her original songs from St. Louis to Oklahoma, Texas to Iowa. Equally at home performing at a motorcycle rally or a mayors’ conference, she sees a song in just about everybody she meets. Part of her music roots were grown in the French Quarter of New Orleans where she lived for several years. Besides co-writing the musical ‘Choking Out The Kudzu’ with her best friend, Billie Colombaro, she has authored several custom songs for conventions, special occasions and dedications as well as commercial jingles. Betty performs her original music at various Writers’ Rounds throughout Nashville, likes to travel to different cities to perform in house concerts, and loves the acoustic performance because of the one-on-one experience with the audience.
